Hello E9 Folks,

Mike Miller here. I write for Bimmer and Roundel. A large part of my work is fielding BMW technical questions for both mags, 24/7/365.

Unfortunately I don't own an E9, but I love them just the same and I have access to a lot of technical information, special BMW tools, and experience on 1970s BMWs in general. Let me know if I can help either here or through the magazines:

I'm not here to recruit BMW CCA members or Bimmer subscribers (although both rock). Just wanted to put the e-mail out there.

I am a longtime subscriber to Roundel Magazine. His Q&A section in the magazine is usually the first part I read. He is the go-to-guy for technical/mechanical questions.

Hello Mike,
Welcome! Just wanted to acknowledge that your columns are appreciated. And, as a new-ish resident of your old neck of the woods have taken your advice and stopped by Helmut's.
Thanks!

Offer To Help

Hi Mike
That's mighty nice of you and I'm sure everyone appreciates your offer.

Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike, I'm glad to see you here and happier to hear of your generous offer.

You have been a big help with my '91 318is and '02 325xi.

Funny thing is, my '73 cs coupe (mainly original, i.e. unrestored) runs very well with hardly any problems. It's my '04 M3 (alternator just died at 30k miles), and my '02 325xi (135k miles) that has issues.

Thanks again.

Best Regards, John Raho

P.S. We just bought our first non BMW a couple of weeks ago, a Land Rover LR3. Mike, what do you know about them and do you have a maintenance schedule I should follow?

Hi Mike,

Glad to see you here. Tech Talk is always my first read when my mag arrives.

And thanks for your help and fast responses to questions that I have sent you.
