Just wondering from those that have tried different sizes if a 380mm wheel is big enough. My E9 has a very small wheel, and I know it is all wrong for E9 steering. My E46 wagon has a 380 mm wheel and it works well in this application, but not sure if it is just right on the E9,

The e9 cabin is spacious so a small wheel looks out of place. For pleasing proportions IMHO 380mm is the minimum, 400mm is ideal, and 420mm (stock) is max.

390mm

imo, 380 is a little small, an extra 10mm makes a difference to my eye. here is a pic of a 390mm nardi on my car.

Lovely wheel that 390. Can't argue with the looks Alan, as I think it looks Perfect. I do think I want a leather wheel though and I'd also like a little protection on it like the BMW motorsports wheel on Orangers car in the other steering wheel thread. Anyone have just the perfect wheel, I am in the market.

I have a 380 and am very happy with it. Except for the first drive after having replaced the original tugboat wheel, it doesn't seem too small at all.
and, yes decampos, 350 looks and feels very dinky.
