Is full conversion kit for Getrag 265 offered by anyone here?

Thanks everyone who contributed on this topic again. After some research done on sourcing possibilities of Getrag 265 here around, it become quite clear that it might be a real challenge and I might need to look for buying via ebay etc. I checked the prices and they did not make me happy about this...
Trying to go around somehow, I got an offer for '89 735i in working condition for 800EUR and now there is the next dillemma - should I continue to search for this Getrag 265 and source other things I would need or I could just make the next step then - swap the engine by having all needed stuff as well in one place (like wiring harnesses, computer etc.), but still customizing shifter assembly and pedals. Anyone here done both options and could consult whether this might be an option then as well - what about rear diff (suppose I could just adjust the one from the donor), electronics, converting to mech speed, floor tunnel etc.?
 
I converted my 72 cs to a dogleg 5 speed and if im honest I will id left to as an auto, ive got other manual bmw's like an e34 B10 3.5/1, a 325i baur E30, so what ever possessd me to convert my cs I dont know.
the conversion is very easy and parts are stil available if youve got a big budget, but for sheer enjoyment of a cs coupe, get the rod system sorted and the set up running right and just enjoy it as an auto. You will miss the waft when its gone.

I went from AT to 4-spd from an '79 528i for under $600, then got a complete '81 528i with the 5-speed for something like $350 and in she went (twice). First time I used the complete clutch setup from the '79, second time replaced the disc only. Pedals from a junkyard Bav (sorry E3ers) for minor cost; fluid reservoir and piping were mix-n-match from my 2002 stash. Re-use the AT dshaft for the 5-speed; forget what I used for the 4-speed.

You guys wanna pay that kinda dough it's okay with me, but just try not to run up the prices on us poor but honest homewrench types. I did all the work by my lonesome on the garage floor. Only "special" tool I had was a good trolley jack. Trans removal mostly by un-benchpressing it... went right in later while supported on a home-made cradle on the trolley jack.

Read Carl's article, written for converting a Bav, actually, and it will tell you all you need to know. The parts list is short, the required tool list even shorter. Of course you can gold plate this job if you want to... but recall it'll be under the car and only you will know!

Maybe I can sell the tranny cradle I made for enough to buy a tank of gas... but I threw it out after I did the job. Sorry 'bout that, them's the brakes!
