Turning the big 60 next week and we're headed down to Palm Springs with two other couples. Since it's my birthday, I get to chose some of the activities. I'd love to drag them along to a Cars on Coffee next Saturday if there is one in the area. Does anyone here know if there is one in Palm Springs?

Thanks!

I have not been to this but this looks fun:
La Quinta is about 1/2 hour from Palm Springs

I have been to this and it is fun, not a cars and coffee

This one is good but I think you will miss it:
El Paseo Cruise Night is a monthly event in Palm Desert, California, where classic cars and other cars cruise down El Paseo. The event takes place on the first and third Fridays of each month from 3–6 PM

It would be fun to just cruise down the main strip of palmsprings and stop in at the retro Shag store. Other than that the cars and coffee I have been to in the Coachella valley have been pretty weak. They do have a small one ever Saturday morning in La Quinta, in the lot of 46-520 Washington St, La Quinta, CA 92253. Maybe 15-25 cars show up. Not great but if you are desperate

Great info. I think we will be there on the 3rd Friday, maybe we'll head over there.

Vince if you do go to the El Paseo Cruise Night may I make a suggestion. Its a really fun event. I would go around 3:30-4:00. After you view all the cars then go find a bench or better yet a restaurant with a parklet on El Paseo. As the show ends all the cars parade down El Paseo. You could also view the parade from the second story terrace at Tommy Bahama or Pacifica Seafood Restaurant.

Its a really fun event, with a big variety of cars, mostly muscle. Cars are B grade but the enthusiasm of the car owners makes up for the quality of cars.

PS funny story. I stumbled onto another car and coffee in the Coachella Valley running an early morning errand. At first I was wondering why all these cars were backed into the parking lot with lots of people wandering around. The cars were, in my opinion, crappy everyday drivers. Was a bunch of young kids showing off what they had modified in their first rides. It was really fun to see such enthusiasm and reaffirmed why I like car people so much.

Awesome! Thanks! I agree with you on young kids, a bunch of them come to our BMW C&C we have every month, usually in an e30 or e36, even e39s. So great to see their enthusiasm, we need more of them in the hobby.
