Is this steering wheel legit?

Looks like a standard '02 sport wheel with some home made leather over the spokes and a stick on logo on the horn button. But the back of the rim has ribbing for the fingers which I'm guessing would not be easy to do...

Real or mad leatherman job?

That is a recovered Euro Tii steering wheel. worth about $350-400 in excellent condition from what I've seen and own.

No. Leather wrapped foam, metal spokes and no center roundel.

I wonder how he added that finger ribbing on the back of the rim... Is that something you can add prior to re-covering?

The one with wrapped spokes may not have slats in the spokes making it even less valuable. I had one of those on my 2002, you can see the wires for the horn contacts, it's for a 2002.

that looks overpriced and modified from original... I can sell u an "as new" 380mm German Nardi with correct bmw hub and horn for less than that
