I have needed to replace the edge on the spare wheel well, and although the curve following the quarter panel came out near perfect, the panel has a tendency to warp upwards near the quarter panel.
Or at least. I think it is doing that.
Who can confirm?
In the pics you see the spare wheel well and a steel tube across it. It is the corner where the jack is located.
As you can see I can fit a whole hand or pen under it. I doubt that it is supposed to be like that.
I think that the edge near to the quarter panel sits too high. I am aware that there is a 45 degree step in the floor just next to the quarter panel, the steel bar just rests in front of it.
Should the steel tube be in continuous contact? In other words, does the top surface of the spare tire wheel well form a flat plane?
