I've read several threads on this topic but none seem to cover my specific issue. I am hoping someone can proved some guidance.

Here is a video of my issue

Thank you in advance

When I did this on an e12 I recall a tiny hole in the housing that I had to insert a short piece of coat hanger and push on it while pulling the tumbler with they key in an On position.

I read something similar and the post even had photos but they were long gone. If there is a tiny hole, I cannot find it to save my life. Maybe is there is someone that knows where this is? Watch it be completely obvious…

Here is the appropriate thread. You need an ice pick (preferably dull) to insert into the small seemingly unimportant hole to push the small spring loaded locking key. It doesn't move by much but it will release the ignition portion of the mechanism..

Thank you very much the thread with exactly what I was looking for. I was able to get it out of the column and then remove the timbler from the housing and I’ve ordered a new housing.

To reinstall tumbler key needs to be a specific position, there is a pin in back of cylinder housing and the cam needs to be next to or behind it.

Mine has a tiny allen headed grub screw to retain the switch. Once that was removed it was easy to remove. I had a load of sheeting and magnets on the floor in case I lost it.
