The CSL just passed its MOT for the 4th year on the trot with out any problems. so far in my ownership

June 2004 mot @ 80515 miles
June 2005 mot @ 82799 miles
June 2006 mot @ 84264 miles
may 2007 mot @ 87042 miles

so year 1 i did 2284 miles, year 2 1465 miles and year 3 2778. The approx cost for 6527 miles

Fuel 310 gallons £1171
oil changes x3 £120
fuel filters £18
brake fluid £9
master cylinder kit £54
rad re core £110
battery £54
spark plugs £18
Rad hoses £56
s/steel exhaust £480 ? (cant remember)
3 x mots £100
insurance 3 years £720
4 tyres (got cheap) £120

Total cost then is £3030 or 46p per mile. If you then take in to account the interest I could have got from the £10k i paid for the car for 3 years at 5% so approx £900 (after tax) total cost would be £3930 or 60p per mile. I could also argue that the car has increased in value to £14k so the real cost of E9 CSL ownership would work out at -£70 over 3 years . I would then work out that I would have been paid nearly 1p per mile to drive it.
Got to be a bargin !!!!

You Brits and your excessive government regulation. Wanna know what I have to do to put my baby on the road? Go down to the DMV and purchase a set of vintage plates (or buy a set on eBay), slap them on the car and I am roadworthy. No state inspections, no county stickers, no smog tests...just drive.
