As it was...dropped off this past weekend after In-Port a few days which unluckily included rain & snow storms. Only photo I've had chance to take. It's thawed and dry now; been busy washing and waxing...

Question about the differences in Owner's Manuals related to wipers on page 11. The Owner's Manual I have ("Owner's handbook 3.0CS / 3.0CSi" - red reprint) explains all wiper functions are done using wiper/wash control lever. But my 73' CSi uses the turn indicator to turn on/off wipers and center knob switch adjusts wiper speed as I found in the manual posted on e9coupe AFTER trying to figure this all out. Are there variations in models? If so, then depending on what?

Thanks...and look forward to future discussions...

Welcome!

The turn signal stalk also pushes for the wipers. Wipers on the stalk are 4 second intermittent. The driver side pull knob on the lower center console is wiper speed. First detent is ON Normal 2nd detent is ON Faster.

I only use intermittent & Normal.

Make sure your wipers are properly attached to the splined shafts & the tab is in the detent. These cars are notorious for having wipers fly off when needed most!

BikeRider your garage is like a house, unless you did park your new car in the house
Lovely car, well done. Don’t worry about the snow etc, sure it’s seen worse in the past.

Who would keep the E9 during cold lonely nights!

Is it not a snow. It is a cotton candy!

You can tell by checking where the indicators are in your car.

For earlier versions they've been on the right stalk but later models have indicators on the left as on current cars.

the 1973 and on did not have a window "comb", the motor for the windows had been changed and the port to access the gear eliminated

Ahh...that would explain it.
As to selecting the speed of the wipers, you have a choice but its not much of a choice. I would describe it as a choice between normal - molassas in winter speed, or faster - molassas in spring speed.

Most of us try not to drive in the rain, but we also file away somewhere the notion that if caught in a downpour, seek out a bridge to park under.

this solves another mystery. I didn't see any type of small teeth gear that's near the (manual crank) port. this saves me from searching for yet another part!!! LOL
