Ive just got the 1971 cs in San Francisco

Welcome Bernardo. If thats the black CS from Anthony that was me who saw the car being detailed. I did not inspect it thoroughly but it looks good. The interior looks good as well.

If it's the Automatic that was also sold to your seller a month ago in Texas be sure to have the RR quarter inspected for prior damage and the front shock towers closely looked at by someone who does good bodywork. The Doctor that did the restoration did an excellent job but the painting was a bit premature as the rust issues need to be resolved in order to keep the damage from spreading...

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum!

Cheers!

Thanks a lot Ran.
I´ll be sure to check that out.

Ive already noticed that situation from a couple of posts that mentioned the fact.

regards

This is a common and popular mod for the CS with either carburetters or fuel injection(D-jet or L-jet systems). 3.5 motors are another option, but they would run more efficiently with later Bosch L-jet or Motronic setups. These larger engines will add a bit more torque and slightly more horsepower.

Hope your new CS meets you expectations!

IMHO the 3.2/3 Early Motronic M30 is in many ways superior and an excellent choice for an e9 town car, as a civilized power plant is far more important than a bit more torque that's more of a maintenace headache ...

Note I said Humble ....

lol!

She (He?) deserves the space if for no other reason than the respect engendered by owning such a fine car in a country that has (arguably) the worlds most challenging dirt roads!

Again Congrats on your fine purchase...you will not regret it and another day won't kill ya!

Cheers Bernardo!

I know the feeling..(feast?) these cars look good but having a solid example that you can drive effortlessly every day takes some doing~!
