love the details on the rear lights

this second generation GTR is more desirable in a way that it was produced in a much smaller number than the 1st generation, harder to find

This was in Downtown LA. Just sitting there by Urth Cafe with most people completely oblivious and unable to understand why I was taking photos.

Wow, not just any old Datsun but a Kenmeri Skyline. If this is a real GT-R, that's a very car.

JCCS was on the 28th and I think most likely this Kenmeri skyline was there. Unfortunately I couldn't go this year but my good friend went with his R30 skyline which took 2nd place. My friend mention that there were about 10 old classic skylines at the event but none were the real deal GT-R.

I figured no one on this board would be interested, but I went past this in SF the other day near my house as long as we're talking about this sort of stuff.

Nice. I love finding these classics out on the road. Here is another one of my favorites. Absolutely dialed-in Bronco:

+1

Those old skylines are cool.

Had fun chasing an early 70s Celica with a modern S2000 drivetrain thru Humbolt County recently.

I like the old Datsun shapes.

What model is that ? JDM ? Thanks

That's a Nissan Skyline from 68-72, the Hakosuka. The GT-R are very rare and many are clones. Not sure how many produced but not sure how many in the states, probably only a few or maybe less. I know there were only 197 GT-R Kenmeri produced so the hakosuka GT-R numbers are probably close to that as well. As for values, the real Hakosuka GT-R's can go for between $125k to over $150k. The engines alone are about $40k.
