lower than some out there

Not to rain on your parade, but I don't see $9,000 for a big bumper 2002 with some rust as a screaming deal. Yes, $9,000 is less than $22,000, but for the higher number you should be getting a chrome bumpered car with both bumpers, no rust and no excuses (part of the CL description reads: "This vehicle can drive better if a true carb mechanic had his hands on it.")

Is $9K a fair asking price for this car? It would take an in-person inspection to establish that.

Agree! I think a fairly good example big bumper should go for 5-6K, there are lots of these out there. there are some M3's out there with less than 100,000 miles going for similar prices or even lower.
