just noticed something about the forum's new format ?

i was looking up a member ... and i noticed something that i have never seen on the forum before. a tabulation for likes and trophy points. i get that it records if something you post gets a like from another member ... just hadn't noticed that before. but then i saw trophy points - WTF is that? i see that i have some ... but no idea where they come from ... not that it matters, just curious.

were they here before the new format ... and i just missed them? or have i just missed them since the new format was launched last fall? obviously i was oblivious ... or just asleep at the keyboard again.
 
New with this software. Maybe I should set it to give everyone a trophy, since that's the society we're living in! ;)
 
I'm highly against the e9coupe.com participation trophy. I am mediocre in life and I suck at sports that involve a ball. I can post forum messages like nobody's business though! I may not know much about BMW's, but please don't dilute my online success. :D

that's a little too much like the movie Meet the Fockers when Dustin Hoffman tells Robert De Niro that his son (Ben Stiller) got an 8th place trophy for some sport.
 
Dan, i've always heard you have unlimited cosmic powers on this forum. go ahead and penalize us. what the hell, we don't how we get them, probably don't know how many we have ... take them and give them to somebody more deserving

When I worked at the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (Nov. 1994 - June 2005) I use to joke in my Vince McMahon voice..."Gary, if I don't work out I'll get a trophy!" Gary, "No Vince, it's atrophy, not a trophy!" Vince "Damnit Gary!"

One time Vince came down to our floor for a meeting and was saying hello to people. One of my coworkers came in and said did you hear that bad imitation of Vince? I said "That WAS Vince." he said "Your impression is much better." We had a good laugh over that.
 
Wow, Andrew, if I knew you worked with Vince we would have been talking WWE/WWF all weekend at the Vintage! Vince is a freak hero of mine, their headquarters is just down the highway from where I grew up.

Can we change trophy points to trophy wives, members will have to submit pictures to be judged by site admin before being awarded :-)
