Had no idea how to do it, started reading what I could find on the internet, decided what worked best for me and went for it! My son and I poured them Saturday afternoon and it was so cold (northern CA cold anyway) that the concrete set up very slowly. This is good for strength but not so good for the guy trying to finish them. I ended up going home and taking a nap for a couple hours, then headed back to the house to finish it up. 1am! Oiy! Three days later now and the forms are coming off. Looks okay, but should get better as I sand and polish. I'll try to post some pictures if I get time...

Anyone else do this? I'm always open to suggestions and tips!

Did you cast in place on the counter or pour in forms on site?
Best advice I can give is take your time, follow the instructions and you should be ok.Sand and polish the crap out of it when think you have finished do it 2 mor times . This is a labor intensive project but you can get stunning results.
