this is my karmann plate inside the door.
I've known the car from new but the code says 42.
the car has always been Verona from new its been resprayed in 70s but not a co

lour change. what gives??

I’ve no idea.
I tried the bmw archive email address that keeps getting posted on here a couple of times but no response.

That's not a link. That's an email address. You have to email them with your VIN and they will return the date the car was produced and the original color.

Yes and when you click it it opens an email so I type in what I want to ask in the appropriate box just like when you send an email and send it, and it’s in my email out box as sent,

My guess is that it is opening a different email client (OS default) rather than the one you are using. Try copying the addy and pasting it into the "to" field of the email client you are using.

if your on an iPad or phone it will automatically open an email ready to send but wont on a laptop or pc.
