This is just a rant....but if I was to restore my coupe my first fix would be to create a 1-piece uniform sheet from the A-pillar (north-to-south) until front strut (turret) assembly.
I know there are liners for this & I am the first to say original is not only best, & the details in metal shapes & stamping are part of the charm of any chassis.....
But every time I look at an inner-fender structure I have to wonder....there was noting gained (space) with all those pieces, maybe just old technology or making the most of there tiny stamping tools...
A very disappointing flaw to live with that's for sure
