Keys still available?

Gentlemen-

I was recently asked by an aspiring Bav owner how to deal with a lack of keys. I told him that I thought cut keys were still available, but I wanted to verify with the group.

Assuming this is a Pebra dimple model then try Santa Monica Key and Safe - http://www.santamonicalockandsafe.com/

Apparently you can mail them a 400% photocopy enlargement and they can reproduce the key. Phone first to discuss.

Currently, the car has no keys. I was hoping to find if BMW could still make keys based on the cylinder/tumbler #. It should be the Pebra.

I only had the valet key. Keys4Classics in AU was able to make me a master using the code on the trunk tumbler and a pic of the valet key. Perhaps they can do it with just the code. Check them out http://www.keys4classics.com/
