LA: '76 Bav - White on Red. $6500

Yeah nice looking car. Nice to have the bumpers done already. Probably not much rust being a second owner 90K+ miles CA car. Spend some money on body and paint by bringing it back to Polaris, redo vinyl red to red leather where miss-matched and it will an even nicer car. It's just the dreaded 76' for smog reasons, but sounds like clean running motor. Or drive as is.....??? depending on budget. Price seems very fair.

Matt and I bought this together in an effort to save it from sitting in the original owner's son's garage as a work bench/storage shelf. I went through the engine after the son tried to do a head gasket replacement and left it unassembled. It now runs strong and idles smoothly. Mechanically it's a well sorted car. The Vial wheels are period correct, and were the Alpina alternative at the time. I had them checked and powder coated to Alpina spec. There is no rust. It spent the majority of it's life indoors in LA and LaHabra. All it needs is the paint taken down to primer and re-shot in Polaris. The interior is really nice. The vinyl and leather mixing can be changed or left alone. It's fine the way it is. Matt is it's caretaker now, and has been a fine owner, taking care of anything that arises. With a few little things sorted as pointed out in the CL add, it will be an excellent car for someone.

The above pictures are obviously before the bumper conversion. These are just a few pictures I had from right after the car was put back on the road and enjoyed a little..

Ahh Cool! Post some pics. Although I have no intentions of buying, I really want to see the interior.

Bad seller, me!

Sorry about that. I thought I had made my mind up to let someone else make this car more great, but then changed my mind. It was in the shop getting some tweaks prior to sale, so I put what photos I could find in the ad. After spending some money and realizing how I couldn't part with the car, I took the ad down. I apologize if you contacted me. The response was impressive. I promise if I decide to sell it, I will post it on this great, and always helpful, board first and be more committed to selling! For the time being, I am planning on taking the car to the next level myself. It would have killed me to see someone else do it!

Thanks,
Matt

Yes. The CL ad has four photos, but they all just show the same thing: the car's front end. Shots of the interior, engine, and rear would add a lot.

Thought this would be a good car for Stan, it matches his GR8WHT.

Glad you are keeping it Matt, wish you miles of smiles.
