Lasers...A Group Buy

"Handheld" is a bit of a stretch, considering it's connected to a power supply probably the size of two refrigerators and likely requires 100 amp 3 phase power.
 
Very cool! However, If a sandblaster can warp a bonnet, I would imagine that this laser would turn your hood into a lasagna noodle.
 
From what I've read the immediately bare medal would reflect the light and therefore not absorb any heat. That being said, the exploding paint, rust, etc might
 
...and it does not harm the users hand. Well thats broken the spell for me with Goldfinger and James Bonds private parts.

Bond:"I suppose you expect me to talk, Goldfinger"
Goldfinger: "No, Mr Bond, I expect you to have rust free private parts"
