First post (although i had to reactivate my account probably for none use)

Spent the day on track at Silverstone at the weekend running in/testing a race car (at a UK trackday)

Guess what else was there.....

A 1972 3.5 CSL ex Le Mans, which is also entered into the Le Mans Classic this summer (Nick Whale/Ian Guest). Didn't really have the opportunity to speak to the owner/driver (he has two CSL's!), but a friend of mine took lots of photos - just a selection:

duh,duh,duh, wow....

As Dudley Moore said in the movie "Arthur" (actually referring to being very rich), "It doesn't suck." And a very quiet wow. Look forward to pictures with many dead bugs on the front. Dave V. in NC, USA

Revoltingly,

disgustingly, impossibly clean.

I want it.

And yeah, bending the beltline trim over the fender flares is far too much effort to put into a race car... or is it? Onboard air shocks too? Sheesh.

Anybody notice how the rear shock mounting towers have been extended up to the parcel shelf, well I think they have, 3rd picture

I saw that done on a 2002 race car where the original separate spring and shock absorber had been replaced with a coil over unit. Neat but a lot of work
