lead free fuel.

any one know what is the best additive for the fuel,
i have an injection csl and a 2.5 carb cs not having used either and getting close to running i need some info.
no engine mods all std.
i am in the uk any preference on fuel ie; asda v shell etc??

Seems to me the engine should be fine on lead free, as the valve seat is hardened. Zinc in the oil however might be an issue to consider.

zinc in the oil ??? as jethro said about s#!t in the carb how often do i have to do that??:wink:

Unleaded is fine but i used to stick a bottle of Miller lead substitute and octane booster in mine just for mental effect i guess. I now get the odd tank of 100 octane full of lead aviation fuel which she really does seem to like!

In the UK im a Shell fan and tend to stay away from supermarket fuel having read various bad stories.
