Leaking brake master

The rubber grommet that surrounds the rubber hose as it goes into the brake master is leaking on my 74 cs, does anyone know if I need a B M W specific grommet or is it possible to fit a general purpose grommet .

Better safe than sorry, just get the BMW parts, they are only a few bucks.

I'll second that. Brake fluid is pretty nasty stuff - it is likely to dissolve a generic grommet.

if it is brake fluid, be sure to get EPDM rubber type

Thank,s everyone for the input, and Ian thank you for your offer, but I did manage to find '' the only one in AUSTRALIA" through a Sydney BMW dealer, there were two sizes listed?, hopefully the one that comes tomorrow is correct.Thanks again, Burky
