I was in the shop yesterday working on a metal shear I hope to use this Spring and I looked up and noticed 1 of my 3 leather BMW Recaros (stored up on a 4 post lift) had mold growing on it, maybe because I don’t heat the back half of my shop unless I have a real good $$$ job going on. Any thoughts on how to stop the mold with the least effort :?::?::?:, right now I’m just pressed for time . THANKS ~ John Buchtenkirch

Put some white vinegar in a spray bottle, and spray the seats down till all of the mold is wet. Let it sit for 15 min or so, use a toothbrush to break it all up and then shop vac all the crap off the seats. Put them out in the sunshine, and wipe them down and let them dry.

I'd personally use some leather cleaner and restorer on it after that.

Do all of the seats. Mold jumps around, and if it's on one seat it's on them all.

The dark, moist environment of a shop is conducive to mold growth. Store them elsewhere?
