LED bulb question

I renewed my grey plastic rear light housings a couple of years ago and I'm finally getting around to putting Stan's lenses on the chrome frames. The standard bulbs create quite a bit of heat and I'm wondering if standard LED bulbs that I might find at Advance or AutoZone would be a better option.

The standard original spec bulbs don’t create much heat, it’s when larger watts are used. Cleaning the reflectors makes a big difference.

Thanks Chris- where would I get those?

Standard Phillips 1156 single filament with silver base for turn signal, reverse and stop lights. Running light uses a smaller 5w bulb, if using a higher wattage you can melt the lens. Front turn signal dual filament is 1157.
