I’m pleased to offer this part, and to let you (2000 C and e9) folks there will be many more coupe parts to follow. Energy prices in Hawaii are crazy, and the private electric providers say 30% more in rates soon. So while I love these old parts, I have to follow priorities!

I bought a bunch of parts from a coupe and ’02 lover, and this fellow bought BMW parts like an alcoholic on payday! Great guy, not a collector, but long term BMW owner and DIY mechanic until safety issues caused him to back off the antique BMW automobiles.

The Manufacturer's marks, shown in the photo gallery, can be decoded as noted below:

DURO-GLASS-F is a subsidiary of Sekurit Glas Union, the manufacturer of the glass in Germany

LIZ-SELURIT, a shorthand for Lizenz Sekurit, indicating the glass was made under license using the Sekurit tempering process.

D-100: The specific manufacturing plant or model-specific designation used by the producer.

M100/AS 2: M100- The manufacturer’s internal code fot this specific glass type and green tint color.

AS 2: American Standard (AS) rating. AS2 means it is tempered glass with at least 70% light transmission, approved for use anywhere in the vehicle EXCEPT THE WINDSHIELD.

DOT 28- The Department of Transportation (DOT) code for Duro-Glass (Sekurit-Glad Union)

This glass pane is from an e9 coupe, 1968-1975. The flat base of the pane signals a change in the type of window lifters (winds) used in later coupes. I don’t know the specifics of the donor car. I bought a bunch of coupe glass parts and winders-mostly advertised as BMW 2000CS or 2000CA. The front glass panes I have may match either the 2-liter or 3-liter coupe, but this rear quarter glass is definitely only for a “Big Six” coupe.

Please review my photos. The only scratch I can find is clearly identified. Any other marks are around the periphery of the part, and likely due to previous window regulation or guide rails mounting and their attendant “witness marks.” The larger holes drilled in the glass are for the primary mounting points where the glass attaches to the window regulator. The two smaller holes secure the leading edge guide rail.

Write me with any questions or comments. I’ve collected sports cars for over 50 years. I want you to know everything I know about this part. Free shipping to lower 48 USA. International destinations write me prior to purchase. I’ll use Double boxing for extra protection. $275 USD and shipped free to a UPS physical address.

This window pane belongs to a car manufactured during the time bracket 1968-1975. Thank you. Write with any questions.

Mahalo nui loa! Robert P. Smith

I could not find the edit button, but please be aware that this should be the correct, left rear quarter window for any e9 coupe, 1968-1975. Possibly other coupes used this pane too. Write with any questions regarding decoding the manufacturer marks. Mahalo! RPS
