Dropped off the coupe at the LeMay in Tacoma for six months to be displayed as part of their "BMW – Propelling a Century of Innovation" exhibit. Some nice cars, including a 507, a 2002 Turbo, a 2800CS, a CSL Batmobile, a 3.0CS (mine), an M1, two Z8s and a really nice Isetta.

Unlike (I suspect) the 507, I drove there from LA over three days. Best part was the 101 from Santa Rosa to the Oregon Coast. Truly spectacular scenery.

The exhibition has just changed as they have moved a few BMWs downstairs for the Master Collector Exhibition.

Below a few of the BMWs that were unveiled at the opening of the exhibition months ago and have been moved to the other exhibition ..............

Yup. My coupe came in for the "refresh" of the exhibition. Some nice cars downstairs, too!

So wanted to stop at Lemay and also visit BMW Pete when we were in Seattle. Unfortunately we were too ambitious with our plans and those visits didn't happen.

Visited Lemay, May 15th when BMW celebrated the 100th there. Amazing display, had heard about this museum for years, so happy to have finally experienced it. What a super place to park your car, though, like others, I would have withdrawal after a weekend! Great photos, thanks for posting. Mike

I had the opportunity to visit the Lemay about a year ago or so. There was a Corvair event on the lower lawn that day. Great venue and knowledgeable docents.
