Little Visor over the door.....What is it?

I just saw on ebay this CS for sale and looking at the picture there is a little visor over the door...what the heck is that?

It's a flap for holding the shoulder belt out of the way....
The non-inertial reel belt type that is.
That's my understanding.

To me it looks like a manual side impact protection for the head.... But you better be quick to fell it down before impact

It has been a long time since I've used one of these. Just a PITA device. IIRC, just fold up the shoulder belt to the aproximate thickness of the flap and insert. Make sure the belt is a tight fit, otherwise, it will fall and have the belt hitting you on the head on a constant basis.
