Final metal work was completed about three years ago before my neighbor ‘Karen’ continued a legal battle with us, we didn’t argue with her anymore, not worth the words anymore so we moved the car to a new location after the car sat in the driveway until mediation was over, then I drove the car out of the driveway and put it on a flat bed and moved it over to my buddies house couple miles from here where it’s been for the last year few months now in his garage.
Prior to the legal issue, I actually moved the car to a body shop
where the rocker panels and few other rust spots were fixed it was stripped to metal and worked back up in black DTM K2 primer. Alas I have a friend at work who has volunteered a space good enough for me to fine tune the body work, I’m considering leaving it hot rod black and parking it right back in the driveway after I’m done installing the 3.2L M30, Stahl header, and a 3” mandrel bent exhaust and 5 speed with LSD. Will be sure to have current registration and not a none-op DMV status so she can’t bitch about it being an “inoperative vehicle” ever again! Every morning at 7:00 AM when I go to work, she will know what an operative vehicle sounds like, vs the quiet that has graced the driveway for over 17 years while I stored the under a cover. Over the last 16-17 years now I would occasionally work on the car when she was not home just to avoid her, as she’s a fucking weird one along with her brother that lives in her basement apartment with three other people 800 sq ft. Spite fence is up, I called Oakland Fire Department they came out measured the ingress and egress verified CFC violation between her spite fence and her house is now less than 32” a clear CFC code violation CFC code is minimum 36”. Wife had suggested we call HBO and get signed up for their new TV series called ‘NEIGHBORS’…..
