One of my other hobbies is digging for old bottles. There's a site near my work that had some early glass and metal poking up after it was graded so went and had a dig.
As luck would have it the spot where I chose to dig had a lot of rusty metal in it but as they say in for a penny, so kept going. It became clear pretty quickly that the metal was all interconnected and seemed familiar but not sure why.
Anyway, a few hours later it was pretty clear what I was dealing with, which is now safely at home.
Circa 1917-20 Indian 'Power Plus' motorcycle. I also found the remains of one wheel, battery, seat, magneto and a few other bits. Plan is to tidy it up a bit, build a custom stand and loan to the local museum. Can't say it was what I was expecting or ever likely to repeat.
