TJ, that is you and your car, correct?

This was a repeat of the auction on Velocity. Great seeing a coupe on TV!

The only down side is the announcers had no clue what they were looking at and seemed taken aback by the high amounts bid. They had zero knowledge or appreciation of the car and were basically just reading from the catalog verbatim. Also, it was preceded or followed (I can't remember) by a nineties Camaro that was just a used car (went for 7k). Much of the daytime stuff was just a bunch of used crap, so TJ's car really stood out.

Scott, you're so right. The guys announcing the car on the broadcast knew more about the car than the Mecum guys. I was dismayed at their lack of knowledge, and even more dismayed that they didn't read all the information I presented them with. As far as the cars that preceded it, that was my fault. Had I known better I'd have had it presented over the weekend, with the European marques, rather than in the middle of muscle car hell.

Thanks for sharing these screen shots. They're amusing to watch, especially considering what transpired.
