Hello fellows,
Well, long story short. I have recently fallen in love with the E3. I'm a long time classic Mercedes enthusiast but about a year or so ago I bought my first BMW. A 69' 2002 4 speed in Nevada beige. I absolutely love the car.
About 2 months after that I bought my first BMW motorcycle which is a 71' R60/5. Now I have found myself infected with the E3 Bavaria bug. I guess the only way to cure myself from the E3 bug is to find one... I was lucky and Bill Patterson let me look at his E3 and now I really want one..
What em I looking for with my limited E3 knowledge?

Well, I'd love to find a car with the following characteristics:
- No or little rust (patina surface rust no problem)
- Manual or Automatic (if it's the right car) but preferred is manual
- all the way up to and including 1973 (the earlier the year the better)
- colour doesn't really matter but Inka would be incredible
- leather or cloth both will work
- A/C doesn't need to work (I'm a window down kinda guy)
- ideally located in western canada or the pacific northwest including california
- A car that needs a little bit of sorting would be just fine.
- quality of paint does not matter, I like patina but not bondo patina if you know what I mean
- car must have descent undercarriage in terms of rust
- interior does not have to be perfect
- and the last but not the least it does't need to have the original drive train

Looking forward to hearing from you. Any input is appreciated.
Sven

@rblongboarder

Thank you for passing on the ad about the 2 E3's in Sacramento.
The fellow wants everything gone at once and I could not pull that off living 1400miles north of Sacramento.
However, the 73 might be the one I'd be mostly interested in.

Just patiently waiting on more info on a member of this site's car.
