Looking for a hood stabilizer/holder - I've seen a copy e9's with third-party collapsible /folding hood stabilizers.

My body shop broke my NLA hood brace for my 1973 BMW 3.0 CS.

I've seen a copy e9's with third-party collapsible /folding hood stabilizers.

Please advise of source, make, model, any special instructions for placements on both sides.

Thanks

Richard

Another option is that they just fix what they broke. Being a body shop they must be able to (arrange) to weld stuff.

Did the tube break? Common issue due to fatigue actually: weld it up

Did the fingers (that limit the opening of the hood forward) bend out? Common issue as they are a tad weak. Unbolt them, smack 'em flat again, trace/copy on 5 mm steel plate (quarter inch), and gnaw them out.

Some hints in the DIY section:
