Looking for a part

Does anyone know the part number for this "L" bracket?

According to BMW, this part "does not exist". :-? Looked in the old original orange parts book and it's not listed either in the engine compartment, hood or the hood lamp diagrams. But look on the bright side, that L-bracket is probably one of the easiest part to fabricate.

i did the same thing - i looked through my orange book too and couldn't find anything either

It listed in the vehicle electrical system, 61/7, with the door jamb switches, wiper switch, cig. lighter etc.

I currently have a makeshift replacement. It doesn't look all that great. Any chance someone has a spare bracket that wants to sell it?
