Hi,
looking for someone willing to meet auto shipper at our new house in SW Portland.
We are relocating to Portland soon and Ive had 2 vehicles shipped out early. They’ve arrived in PDX but I won’t be there until Nov. 1.
Shipper can store in a secure outdoor lot until I get there but I’d feel much better with them in the in my garage rather than sitting outside for two weeks.
PM me if you’d be willing to do me this big favor.
Thanks
John

Here’s another reason why I tell people this is the best vintage BMW forum on the inter webs. It’s people like @coupedegrace that make it so.
After I made the request above on Monday, He volunteered to meet the shipper and did so today. He safely tucked my cars into their new home.
Thank you Dan! I will sleep better tonight.
And thanks to @vince for his offer to help as well.
Looking forward to meeting you both.
This is a special group we have here on e9coupe.com. I’m humbled to be part of it.

I'm sure the guys in Portland will get you in the flow of things around there in no time. I had a great time when I visited...

Great meeting you at the Vintage, probably your last...I know you will love Portland; my brother went to law school at Lewis and Clark, and I loved it out there. Good that you got the cars inside with the weather coming.
I always got confused on the other coast...do you have to watch the news at three in the afternoon? ;)

Having lived on both coasts I'd say the biggest difference in TV viewing time is that the Academy Awards always end by 10 and most night time sporting events that go into overtime still finish on the same day they started.

We lived in the Bay Area from 1986 to 1999. So we are experienced. NFL games start at 10:00am etc. We always wanted to get back to the west coast. We thought it would be in Sonoma but our daughter has been in Oregon for 8 years.
My better half always wanted to work in the wine industry. She’s a certified specialist. We found a Willamette Valley Winery tour Business for sale. We now own it and will be starting tours again in the spring. We plan to be there full time in January.
Keeping our house on the Jersey shore so we will still be spending a lot of time here.
Big changes but we’re very excited.

I'm jealous enough of this huge garage, did you have to put the nicely stained headers in the ceiling?
