I'm looking for some info about a Golf CSL, which was up for sale in San Diego in 2004. I think the car was owned by Frank (Baroudi?) at the time. The car was serviced by Carl Nelson and it's a special car as the owner, to this low mileage (68k km) car, claimed it was one of the very rare CSLs with a factory sunroof.

The car has a pretty early VIN from the 2275xxx serie. Is the history of the car known? Was it sold? Has someone seen the car? Pictures etc?

There was a Gulf CSL For Sale in San Diego about that time that had a Sunroof.If it is the same car, it had been rolled and had a new Roof Welded on with a Sun Roof.Not positive this is the same car you are referring to,but I remember speaking with Carl about a Gulf CSL when it was For Sale and he was the one who told me it had been rolled.
