In the mid 90's I restored a chamonix (white) 2000 CS in Campbell, CA. It later ended up in San Mateo and then passed through the slimy hands of the worlds most disreputable car shark, Evan Esterman. Don't get me started on him.

Anyway, the car had the blue ribbed corduroy seats, power windows, and the rear subframe had been totally powder coated in gloss black. I was a powder coat junkie back then. It had the Solex carbs which I never really cared for and the original CS air cleaner.

Does anyone know the status of this car? I may be interested in re-acquiring it.

Do you remember the VIN? That way you can easily search the CS Registry as the car may be listed and aid your search.

I wish I did remember that, I may have something in the file cabinet in the cellar. The car would be easy enough for me to identify should it still be in the Bay Area.

Hi Ron,

I checked the registry for 66's in Chamonix. There are only three, and two are in Europe. The only US one registered was a free barn find.
