Lower front valance connection

Hi everyone,

Would anyone have any photos of the internal view of where the lower front valence panel connects to the body? The inside view of the area as shown on the orange car (photo credit Marc-M).

And the correct method, rather than as is shown in these two images.

Sorry for the bad angle but I think you get the picture. There is a rubber piece that fits over the end which attaches with a screw. Many cut of the lip where the screw goes in because they think this rubber piece should be on de end of the bumper corner while it should be on the valence connection.

As an aside, that rubber part is available from Walloth&Nesch, but as in picture is decidedly grey in color. I was under the impression the original was black? can anyone confirm this, and /or is there a source for black ones,,, picky I know..

I think they were originally black which is why some ( mistakenly ) thought they were meant to be fitted to end of front bumpers . I don't believe colour matters as they invariably end up being painted over in the body colour given their location on the valance..Not sure if they were painted ex factory .
