Lower rear by removing one spacer ring?

The rear of my CS sits a tad high. Looking at the rear, there are two "damper rings" on top of each spring. I'm wondering if I can just remove #5 to lower the car a bit in the rear:

Currently, the in the front, the distance from center of wheel to the top o the fender opening is 14". In the rear, it is 15". Other posts mention the rear dimension being more like 13.75" -before- lowering the car, so mine seems particularly high. Will everything still fit together without that top ring?

You should go look at your car with the wheel off I think.
Count the dimples or dots on the side of the top rubber piece.

Three dots. Now I am remembering reading about this previously. Where can one get thinner spacers? RealOEM lists only one thickness for that part.

When I did my rear shocks there was only one damper ring on top, could yours have had a second one added? In that case removing one should be fine. I see having #4 or #5 as an either or thing depending on which height you want. Walluth may have thinner ones.

Call Carl or Ben and get the one dot.
You can ask Lotuss7 for pics- I did his suspension last week with H&B springs and new rubber perches last week.

Just did the suspension on my coupe. There were four options on the spring perch. 1,2,3 and 4 dot. I believe the 4 dot was for the later US bumper hight regulation cars and was thicker for additional height. I was told by H&B the 2 dot was pretty much the standard before and the 1 dot was thinner to lower height.

Ben at La Jolla said 2 dots are no longer available new. Only 1 and 3 are available now. I went with 1 dot but also did lowering springs at the same time.

Should in theory get some drop with a thinner perch but may be minimal.

It lists 37 or 28mm, you need one of these, both available.

#4 and #5 are not the same type of spacer. The 28mm spacer listed is just a ring. It is not shaped to accept the spring. That's what I have on top of the three dot spacer, and I'm thinking it can just be removed.

Here's mine:

I just took the extra spacers out. The rear dropped by about 3/4", and looks perfect. I also gained a very slight amount of negative camber (it was exactly 0 at the old height), which I'm hoping will be beneficial on track days.
