As may of you may know, the lower steering column cover is held on be (4) unique machine screws. What makes them unique is their "cheese head". Several years ago I made a bulk order of these because I was one short. It is shocking how many of our cars are missing just one of these bolts. This was discussed at length here:

As I was organizing some things in my garage, I discovered I have a few more of these. They are stainless steel (the originals were plain steel). They are M6x55mm Cheese Head Screws, and are a very good match for the originals (even though they are not visible unless you are laying on the floor looking up - and even then...).

If you need one, let me know and I'll send it your way.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry that I only had a few of these. Someone PM'd me shortly after the post in need of a full set, which cleaned me out.

For those interested in ordering more, I got them from Accugroup in the UK. Their part number is SFE-M6-55-A2. www.accu.co.uk

Sorry I didn't have more to spread around.

Thank you for the link Stephen! Do they have a minimum order? The postage will possibly cost more than the screws?
We could make a group buy if warranted.

McMaster has these that are 60mm.

I do not recall, but I don't think they have a minimum. I ordered a large enough quantity that the shipping was absorbed over many pieces. Since then, I've been distributing to forum members in need (until now as I've run dry).

@halboyles It looks like the McMaster-Carr option is no less expensive, and a bit longer. One would need to verify that the extra 5mm in length will still work (not bottom out). Or it may have to be milled off before install. Not a big deal - just a bit of time. The Accugroup ones were spot-on right out of the package.
