A slight ticking noise is normal, if silent then too tight. range is .010-.012.

I have read that description a few times "sounds like a sewing machine". Been a while since I have seen a sewing machine, let alone heard one running, so I ventured into a local sewing/quilting/notions retailer. I saw a sewing machine and asked to hear it run. Interesting, but as a point of reference I asked how they would know if their machine was operating within spec? The answer: : "When it sounds like a BMW M30 engine, of course! " Ha!
