Oh sorry.
it looks like part the post is missing.

It should have said:
pick up in Roberts Creek Sunshine Coast BC
I’ll give you 50 if you take the auto box and other parts from the car.
So:
500 if you take the 4 speed auto-box and the other box of parts from the car and
550 of you don’t
It was supposed to be humorous.
apologies for confusion!
Cheers!

What are good numbers for compression on these engines?
I notice you have 160- 165 psi across all cylinders...

You don't want to see more than 5-10% variation across the 6 cylinders from what I've beed told. I wouldn't get too worried if they were all 150-160 vs. 170-180 as long as they are all within the 5-10% range of each other.

Would like to here what Don has to say too...

Short answer-

Who installs a used 35 year old engine in their $100,000.00 car???

Ok- the long answer….

9:1 compression North American m30b35 engine.

“K” cam at sea level.

Throttle open.

All plugs out.

Battery charged.

Engine warmed up.

Maximum difference between cylinders less than 7psi.

We want to see 170 psi…

And then go drop it off at the machine shop…

oh my!
does the wiring harness injectors ecu etc add some value.
The Bosch, er I mean box of parts has 2 in tank fuel pumps and a bunch of other’ crap’

And that transmission

Nothing wrong with 160 if it was not warmed up or all plugs not out or battery not charged

With harness it’s worth 500.00

One problem- you need to find someone willing to go to end of the earth to pick it up. And you offer no warranty.

I can get the same package delivered to my shop for 500.00 in SF Bay Area from local boneyard with warranty.

It’s close for anyone who is close

I'll strive to craft a more thoughtful response for you, though it may entail a $25 increase in the engine price to accommodate the additional time.

I dream of being in California, if only to have access to the same abundance of cars you enjoy. In retrospect, I believed I was offering it at a considerable discount, merely 25% of the core price. I truly never meant to cause offense, and I genuinely apologize if you interpreted it that way.

The engine's head has been removed, and the wiring carefully stored in a box to maintain its integrity. All peripherals are included. I find myself with an abundance of parts that need to find new owners. I empathize with your perspective.

I do believe there are still enthusiasts who cherish the prospect of installing this older engine in their cars. For those who lack the expertise to assemble it themselves, a skilled mechanic can tailor it to meet performance specifications, along with the requisite upgrades for brakes, suspension, steering, and the like. Personally, I agree with your inclination towards a more modern engine, perhaps one of the newer M engines. However, at this juncture in my life, I might opt for a vehicle already equipped with modern amenities—brakes, heating, AC, comfortable seating, and contemporary suspension. Would you find that amusing? Cheers!

We install m30b35 engines every year
Great option
We do not install modern engines.

Ok.
As i can’t guarantee the engine,
If anyone on the forum wants the engine you can have it and the parts for 100$.

If it works out for you just make a contribution to the forum?
PS. I can’t ship do pickup on the coast please.
