M5 sells at Barrett Jackson for Street Survival Charity

Just saw the 2015 M5 cross the auction block at BJ...

An entorage of BMW brass was there to see the 30th anniversary edition M5 (one of 30 imported to US) sell for (are you sitting down...?) $700k!!!!

Kudos to all who made this possible for a great 'payday' for the BMW foundation.

Bobby Rahal, Herr Ludwig Willisch and Frank Patek among others we all on stage with
a lot of good PR going to Street Survival.


Was fun to watch!

Really great for the Foundation.

I'm a little suspicious that it was a set-up, meaning they knew Hendrick was going to bid.
BMW does not give these cars to the Foundation or the BMWCCA they pay retail price for them and just have to be confident they will raise money to cover the expense.

Heck I own 1 of 30 BMW M5's. It's a 1988 E28 and is 1 of 30 with black interior.
$500000.00?????? no but worth dreaming about.........
