Shopping for parts in preparation for rebuild on an M90 (11/79 build).
wondering if this is the right headset to get, or are there other/better/USA-based options.
~ thanks in advance!

Thanks, isn’t that for a normale engine?
Looking at an M90, which my dealer parts pal says head gasket and some other bits are ‘Euro-only, not to be sold in USA’.
I recall this scenario from a past experience, but I had the car/title, and this is a loose engine.
Hate to tear into it until I have the correct head gasket for sure.

Do NOT attempt to put a 93.4 mm piston through a 89mm head gasket.
It will be very ugly.
Headgaskets match blocks first not heads.

Please note- the m90 block is a “Siamese “ cooling configuration in between the bores.
Using a 733i head gasket will give you what’s known as a steam hole to your head. Disaster awaits.

I once bought a 1981 635csi as a breaker, a garage had fitted a 3430cc m30b34 h-gasket to a 3453cc m90 engine. This is why the car was a breaker!! Seller had symptoms of repeated overheating. I only realised why as I stripped the head off. Very messy, burnt sticky oil everywhere
