I'm sure most of you Porsche fans know about this:

Here's the Wheel Shop:

I met Magnus at Laguna Seca in 2025 while checking out the F1 exhibit in the Paddocks. Very interesting and down to earth chap to talk with; he asked my ten year old some hilarious questions.

I like his show, "The Next Big Thing" on the Hagerty Channel. The Ford GT40 episode, filmed at Willow Springs Raceway, is very cool. That's the same track Carol Shelby & Ken Miles tuned their original GT40 on...

I am 99.5% sure that the 1976 Turbo is my old car. I sold it in Portland, OR to a guy that turned out to be a CA guy that had moved up there to setup an exotic car dealership in NW Portland. When I sold it it needed head-studs, it had a "dial-of-death" boost knob, and an aftermarket intercooler. I sold it for $30K. Rare and cool color.

Wow, that's amazing... talk about seven degrees of separation... I can't explain why.. but if I could afford a Porsche, the 930 is the car I'd get.

I went back to the ad and pulled some details:
  • CHASSIS NO: 9306700216
  • ENGINE NO: 6760358

Does that sound familiar?

In 2016 I was with walking around Laguna Seca Peter Coomaraswamy with his Cowboy hat. I recognized Magnus Walker, slender 6' 5" with his dreadlocks in a big Rastaman hat. As he passed the other way. I said "Peter that guy looks a lot like Magnus Walker!" I turned to look see Magnus laughing as turned & waved.

I think those are pretty low estimates. I bet the auction blows doors on most of those. Especially #67. Not just because he is kind of a quasi celebrity (for sure is in the Porsche world) but he does seem to have a really good eye for detail and no doubt runs his vehicles thru the gears, like they are intended.
