if you have or use a map driving lamp, the usual bulb is a 4watt

very little light for the purpose, but there is an alternative

an halogen 10watt

that will be fine for family cruising , but at night in rally i have the most problem with my navigators map lamp. Looking to the right i only see reflections in the windshield if it isn't aimed right ,down and away from me. I can say i took some turns over the years to the right without seeing what or where … yes, once the car has turned and be straight ahead again. Scary moments. But i do not blame my co , he has so many things to read and calculate … and has obvious not always attention for his lamp. I do hear comments from my co as "keep it on the road" or "did you see that canal "... but he sees of course much more than i do at those moments.
PS no worrys, we survived it all ;)
