Greetings fellow afflicted car friends! I thought that I’d share my latest acquisition. It’s an 80’s something Maserati Quattroporte mess. I’m a sucker for a weird old car, I’ll be the first to admit it. It’s a shame this mess isn’t an e9 it would have great value and be a real keeper. It has a remarkable solid body and the glass and chrome are all good. Interior is rough. I bought it because of the Nandi steering wheel. I figured the engine will make a fabulous clear glass coffee table for the shop. I also was thinking that I could cut the front of the car off and hang it on the wall in the shop. I don’t have the time to stuff an LS in it or turn it into a Lemons car ( remember this is a laughable project purchased on the spur of a moment ,for the fun of it).
So before I “sushi” this rolling mess into pieces I thought that I should at least give others a chance to grab parts if they need them. So, if you know of anybody needing parts for such a rare bird, please pass it along. I have no title (nor do I care if I ever get one for this rolling trash can)

The C pillar badges will be cool wall art

Weren't these available in a Bi-turbo version? Those wheels are kinda cool, too... they might look interesting on an e39, or something of that era.

Beyond that; yes, it's a mess :)

Bob Newhart's son, Rob,and I lived on the same floor in my dorm freshman and sophomore year. Pretty normal kid and we all partied together. He's dad and mom came up to visit a couple of times and Bob even did an standup routine for our school - he's pretty damn funny. Anyway, Bob had a new Maserati Quattroporte - I remember being very impressed. The interior was gorgeous.

The best was playing the Bob Newhart drinking game with Rob. While watching the show, every time someone says Bob during the show, you have to drink. They say Bob a lot. :)

You've got a 4 cam, 4 Weber, V8 there. Shame to throw it out. Advertise it on HAMB and maybe someone will use it for a non-Chevy hotrod. Trans is a Chrysler auto. Or it will replace any of the V8s in an earlier car. Mostly.

@tygaboy -oh, no (or yes, depending on how you look at it) this looks like another candidate for a german/Italian partnership...

It *is* possible to amuse yourself with a donor car like that....

Yes for sure! I’ll most likely list it and try to help somebody out. If her are no takers then I’ll have some fun with it
