If it leaked before and still leaks it ain’t the grommet
do the right thing- replace the hose and the plastic elbow.
it it still leaks its the master.

be smart be cheap- hose, grommet, elbow.

Thanks Don. The original grommets leaked but they were rock hard and 50 years old. With the new grommets it leaks at the elbow. I guess I never considered the elbow to be the issue since they looked and felt good. Any supplier better than others?

Do you use braided hose? Looks like most places sell the original part number without braided. I don't care about originality but I know some people do.

Blue hose is so nice and hugely expensive

I’m too cheap to buy it.

You want some hose and 2 elbows- Stephanie is coming in today to do shipping.

What about doing the servo vacume hose while you are at it?
I found a way to keep that black cloth braided hose neat was to,
Wrap in black stretchable electric tape
Cut the hose through tape
Leave the remaining tape in place.
But, I did not discover this until I took the tape off, wished I left it in place.
