Hello,

let's introduce myself;

I'm mazout from the Netherlands and am doing a full restoration, the project is a 3.0 csi from '73 and i'm working to it when i've lust. I started to strip the whole car last year and am now working at the left side sills and innerpart wing. After restorate the body i'll let it dip in a caustic bath and after that in a ktl bath.

I discover your site when i was google for "restoration sills" i like to view others projects to learn, when i use the search tool from the forum it's not easy to find te same pages as on google , is my experience....

So iff you have a good search tip please tell me, also iff you have other suggestions what can help me to restore my bodywork, please tell me.

Kind regards,

Mazout

Hi Mazout,

and welcome. I did a rather deap restoration to my coupé over the last year and did some documentation for it, which you could find here:

http://www.e9coupe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12149&highlight=skin+exchange&page=9

or also in a German forum:

http://www.e21-board.de/wbb/dies-und-das/restaurationen/47997-eine-weitere-e9-antirosttherapie/

(some mor pics on my photobucket libraries)

As my personel guide I used some resto threads or sides like:

or

http://www.vranedom.com/

good luck and enjoy the work at your E9

cheers

Ingo

Welcome Mazout. If you get a chance, post some photos as you go. Ingo's record breaking restoration is quite a guide to follow.

Hello,

how do you do that, post some photo's, copy paste doesn't work.

I've seen your project Arnie, great job!!

kind regards,

mazout

You can use a photo hosting site to post your images.. I use a site called photobucket.com but there are many other photo hosting sites.. You paste a link to your photo in your post.

The second one works. Nice looking Coupe. Shows you are in Deep.
