Metal coolant reservoir or plastic

I wonder if anyone out there has info on which tank is the original one, for a 71 2800cs, the brass tank or the plastic one? My car has been in various stages of change for 45 years and both of these are in my collection of parts.

This is the brass one in my (not stock) '70 CS (with CSi look M90). I had it polished up to add a bit of bling to my car. But, black paint finish was stock (as far as I know).

Brass. Don’t try powder coating it as the solder will melt

I removed the paint on my Coupe's and plan to do the same on my Bavaria. Yes, a little more bling.
