Millage reading

HI Guys,

Question; How do I read the millage on my car? I have 2 sets of numbers, in the middle of the speedometer is one set and below is another. My top set says 27646 and the bottom set reads 1622. Whats the difference between the two? I have the owners manual but its in German.

the upper is your mileage, perhaps with a "1" in front if it has turned over one time. The lower number is simply your trip odometer which can be reset.
